White House Rejects ‘Death Star’ Petition

In a wonderful White House statement titled “This Isn’t the Petition Response You’re Looking For,” Paul Shawcross, Chief of the Science and Space Branch at the White House Office of Management and Budget, responded to a petition submitted to the White House’s “We the People” website. The petition was created on Nov. 14, 2012, urging the President to “secure resources and funding, and begin construction of a Death Star by 2016.” Read more…

I just remembered that I had these. These are some pictures I took of the memorial for the motorcyclist that was killed on Pigeon Pass Road last year. I don’t know why I took them I didn’t know the guy and while I was taking them I felt a little like going to a funeral for someone I didn’t know at first… Then I read the notes people left, in a way after reading them I did know him and I knew that a large part of the world was going to miss him.
